discovered a sweet little shop, Hodge Podge Cross Stitch, close by and it's now always part of our trip. One

year I purchased this pattern there and, coincidentally, we woke up to some unexpected snow during that

trip.

Artist Statement: Framed in a rustic, brown, wooden shadowbox. 2 cockades ( one red/white, one

blue/white) decorate the bottom right corner. The design depicts the Weems-Botts Museum, which is

stitched under the house. I created this original pattern of the historic Weems-Botts House/Museum to

highlight the historic significance of Prince William County, and the town of Dumfries, in our country's fight

for Independence from Britain. This item was gifted to, and hangs in, the Weems-Botts museum in

Dumfries, Virginia-located 25 miles south of Woodlawn.

Artist Statement: Galaxy of stars on 18 ct. mono Antique Blue canvas. Matted with star-shaped blue matte

with white border against the canvas. Several !YIJes of threads add visual interest and different looks to the

stars. They include Rainbow Gallery Entice, Glisten, Mandarin Floss, Neon Rays, Neon Rays Plus, Petite

Frosty Rays, Petite Silk Lame' Braid, Silk Lame' Braid, Sparkle! Braid, and Sparkle Rays; Kreinik #4, #8 and

#16 braids; and DMC Floche and Satin Floss. Satin stitch star, waffle star, Amadeus star, 8 pointed star two

different ways (inside out and outside in, different looks and you'll be able to see the difference), 12 pointed,

16 pointed and 24 pointed stars, slanting stars, tied windmill stars and 5 pointed stars.
