Artist Statement: I designed a pattern for a friend of mine about his favorite saying, "perhaps today". When
another friend heard about that asked me to design a piece using his favorite phase in the Bible, "but God".
That inspired me to design and stitch this piece.

Artist Statement: I have always wanted to stitch a piece using all 505 different colors made by DMC. I
started with a picture of the US flag in the shape of the US. Then I superimposed a black and white image of
the head of the Statue of Liberty. Then I superimposed a 5x5 grid over the head. I divided all the DMC color
into two groups, dark and light. When Black appeared in a grid I used a dark color. When white appeared in
the grid I used a light color. I was very careful to used each color, even if was only for a few stitches.
