Artist Statement: This veil was created for my daughter, who requested a fingertip-length veil that would
coordinate with her gown, which features some lace floral appliques. We chose floral and botanical elements
from a variety of designer laces. These elements were trimmed from larger lace pieces and recombined to
elevate the bridal look for more sparkle and interest. Each appliqué comprises elements from different laces
and is strategically placed to frame the face without undue distraction.

Evertote. I used Steph's Fabby aida instead of the provided fabric. I stitched with three of the provided
threads, but switched the Phoenix's color to a thread in my stash. The full pattern is larger, but I only liked
this part of the design. I love how the colors came together.

dyed fabric, ribbons, and lace. The used tea bags form the foundation for hand dyed paper with free motion
