Location: American History (1st Floor Bedroom)
Division: Adult | Exhibited by: Self
Category: Original Design | Technique: Surface Embroidery
Artist Statement: A couple of years ago a popular question was asked, "Would a woman feel safer in the
woods with a man or a bear." Many men were angry that women said they would feel safer with a bear. This
piece is dedicated to the victims of ICE, and especially to Renee Good, who was brutally murdered by an ICE
agent. As though shooting her 3 times in the face wasn't enough, the last words she may have heard was
"Fucking Bitch". I hope my small work brings into focus the ugliness of what America is facing.
