Division: Adult I Exhibited by: Total Framing

Category: Commercial Design I Technique: Counted Thread: Cross-Stitch

Thread Count: 14

Commercial Pattern/Designer: Bothy Threads

Artist Statement: This piece is my very own wedding record. I really love making baby records and wedding

records, and I finally made one for myself. For my piece, I chose more of a champagne gold metallic thread for the trunk. Two different sized sequins were used to create small flowers and stack the larger flower sequins. Staying with one color opalescent white large sequins and green little sequins felt a little more elegant, along with keeping the applique flowers white. The colors are chosen to go around and be about Tiffany Box Blue. Sparkly opalescent AIDA cloth and larger than stock gold beads are used. This set was made for cousins, but is named after the small three sister islands seen from the Key Bridge in Washington, DC.
