NELLY’S NEEDLERS is offering a series of Beginners’ Needle Arts Classes on September 19 and 20 at historic Woodlawn. Woodlawn hosts The Annual Needlework Show in March, and attendees are awed and inspired by the range of beautiful needlework creations. Our common request is for beginner classes that can get new stitchers started and allow established stitchers to try a new technique. We are pleased to offer:

·       Introduction to Needlepoint- 9/19, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Students will stitch a needlepoint coaster.

·       Introduction to Cross Stitch- 9/19, 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Students will cross stitch a pattern on a tea towel.

·       Introduction to Surface Embroidery- 9/20, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Students will stitch surface embroidery to decorate a ball cap.

Class costs are $15 per session or $40 for the three-class series. Class projects will feature an Autumn-themed design, and all materials are included in the class fee.

A fourth session on Sunday, September 20th from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. is included with any class purchase and will offer extra help and communal stitching.
