Each March, the historic Woodlawn & Pope-Leighey House hosts the Woodlawn Needlework Show, featuring hundreds of exquisitely crafted pieces from artists across the country and around the world, all displayed in a remarkable historic setting. As our biggest fundraiser of the year, the show supports Woodlawn’s mission to preserve history and care for nature at this former site of enslavement through programs that foster racial justice, sustainability, wellbeing, and community repair. Sponsorships directly underwrite admission, lunch, and transportation for more than 100 local community residents while showcasing your business to over 2,000 visitors from the DMV, East Coast, and Midwest, as well as our broader digital audience through website, social media, and on-site recognition. By sponsoring the Needlework Show, you both uplift our community and align your brand with a beloved regional tradition of creativity, craftsmanship, and inclusive public history.
