Special Tours
Want an in-depth look at Woodlawn’s Needlework Show? Join our special tour for a brief history of Woodlawn while discovering the unique stories behind many pieces of the Needlework Show. Led by a Woodlawn guide and a member of Nelly’s Needlers.
Available on Fridays and Saturdays in March at 2:30 p.m., the price of this tour also includes your admission ticket to the Needlework Show. The tour will last approximately 45 minutes, and you are welcome to explore the Show on your own before or after the tour. Click the “Purchase Tickets Here” button above to get your tickets!
ADMISSION FEES
Tickets may be used at any time during the day in which the ticket has been booked. Tickets are also available for purchase on site.
Adults: $20.00
Students K - 12: $8.00
Children 5 and under are free
Each person who enters a piece in the Show receives one free admission.

Stitchin’ Sundays
Sunday afternoons starting March 8th, from 3:00 p.m - 4:00 p.m., bring your needlework project and enjoy conversation and community. No additional fee, open to anyone visiting the Needlework Show on Sundays.
Special Programs
All programs are included with Needlework Show Admission.
Story Quilts with Sheryl Sims Sunday, March 8 at 3:00 p.m.
Through her raw-edge applique quilts, Sims explores her interest in and journey through family history. This work is informed connections to National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Alexandria Quaker Meeting. These affiliations revealed unexpected ties to Woodlawn through several families that lived and worked here.
Historic Samplers with Barbara Hutson Sunday, March 22 at 3:00 p.m.
Barbara Hutson of Queenstown Sampler Designs will be on hand to show and discuss how to identify a Quaker sampler. Barbara will also talk about the Quaker's and the Catholic Oblate Sisters of Providence teaching of free and enslaved peoples.
Collections Corner Sunday, March 29, all day
Throughout the day, visitors can join the Woodlawn & Pope-Leighey House Collections Assistant and explore needleworking tools from the Woodlawn collection.
Nelly’s Cafe
Nelly’s Needlers offers seated dining in Woodlawn’s beautiful Underwood Room. Enjoy a variety of dishes including our fabulous chicken salad, quiches, our famous lemon tarts and chocolate cake.
HOURS: 11:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Nellys’ Café Group Reservations
Make a reservation to share lunch with a group of 8 or more of your friends. Reserve your table and choose from a prix fixe menu ahead of time to avoid waiting in line! Groups reservations are offered at 11:00 a.m. Groups larger than 15 are encouraged to visit on Wednesdays.

Needlework entries will not be available for purchase through Woodlawn & Pope-Leighey House, but a list of entrants interested in selling their work directly to visitors will be available.
